Anna Ritter is a junior at Glenelg High School and this is her first year being involved with the GHS Shield. Ritter decided to take journalism this year to use it as an opportunity to grow as a writer, as well as see insight into a field she’s considering as a major in college. Although she loves the reporting side of writing, Ritter thrives in more creative-type pieces. She loves using a vast vocabulary when writing to give more detail and make reading her writing more fun and interesting for readers. Ritter may love writing, but her heart stays on the stage. She adores performing, whether that be through acting in plays and musicals or singing music, and if she could devote her life to anything it would be just that. If possible, Ritter hopes to turn her love for the arts into a career in her future. Until then, she’s very excited to be a part of the Glenelg journalism team!
